Portland Community College Library, Oregon, Reference Librarian, 1996-
Nearly a Pacific Northwest native, Pam was born in Bozeman Montana and grew up in Federal Way, Washington. She worked for ten years as a Public Services Librarian at Danville Area Community College in central Illinois, and has continued her career as a Reference Librarian at Portland Community College, Rock Creek Campus, since 1996.

She is a founding member of the Teaching Learning Center at the Rock Creek campus, Portland Community College, which provides professional development opportunities for faculty and staff.

Pursuant to her deep interest in teaching excellence, Pam attended the inaugural Institute for Information Literacy Immersion (Plattsburg, 1999) and the Intentional Teacher Immersion (Chevy Chase, MD 2006).  She has served on the collegewide Curriculum subcommittee since 2001.

She holds memberships in the American Library Association (ACRL,EBSS, IS, LIRT); Oregon Library Association; and the American Association of Women in Community Colleges (AAWCC).

Pam aspires to leadership-by-example, mentoring, and formative assessment.  She participated in both the National Institute for Leadership Development, LEADERS (January 2004) and the Oregon Institute for Leadership Development (June 2003).

She has done conference workshops and presentations for various professional groups, including the Oregon Library Association, LOEX, and most recently, the National Council on Student Development.
