The Evolution of Privacy

The OLA Intellectual Freedom Committee sponsored a panel presentation on privacy, "The Evolution of Privacy" on Thursday, April 7th at the OLA Annual Conference.
The panel featured Deborah Caldwell-Stone from the ALA Office for Intellectual Freedom, who provided an overview of notable privacy issues for libraries. Librarians from high school, public and academic libraries also shared strategies for both protecting patron privacy and for informing patrons about how best to protect their privacy in an increasingly public online environment.
