Speaker's Bio/Recent Trainings
Deborah Hopkinson serves as vice president for Advancement at Pacific Northwest College of Art, where she also heads fundraising efforts for PNCA's partner organization, the Museum of Contemporary Craft. She has worked in higher education philanthropy for more than 20 years, in organizations such as Oregon State University, Whitman College, and the University of Hawaii Foundation. Deborah is also the author of more than 40 books, including the IRA award winning Sweet Clara and the Freedom Quilt, and Keep On! winner of a 2009 Oregon Book Award. She speaks across the country and presents to students and adults on historical thinking, as well as grant writing and fundraising. Deborah holds a master's degree in Asian Studies.
