Multnomah County Library (serving Portland, Oregon and parts of the greater metropolitan area) is thrilled to announce the launch of several new – FREE! - comprehensive tools and resources for libraries seeking to engage interns.
Developed and hosted by Multnomah County Library (thanks to the generous support of the State of Oregon’s Library Services & Technology Act Program), these free online resources were crafted to help your library design, build, and implement a library internship program that will meet the needs of your library as well as help you find – and effectively engage – qualified interns for a myriad of potential projects and roles.
Free online tools and resources include:
- · A comprehensive downloadable and/or printable toolkit;
- · Several online training tutorials for interns;
- · A training curriculum and slideshow for preparing staff to partner with library interns; and
- · Links to additional library internship resources to explore.
