About the Event

Faced with cataloging Web sites or online databases? Not sure what an "integrating resource" is, exactly? This workshop is based on the recently revised Chapter 9 (Electronic Resources) and Chapter 12 (Continuing Resources) of the Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules, Second Edition (AACR2), and the Library of Congress Rule Interpretations (LCRIs). This class emphasizes the step-by-step process of cataloging electronic integrating resouces and, time permitting, will include a look at cataloging print updating loose-leafs. The workshop covers the new rules that have been added to these chapters and will provide guidance to monograph, serials and electronic resources catalogers who may be responsible for cataloging integrating resources.

These workshops are offered in cooperation with the Serials Cataloging Cooperative Training Program (SCCTP). Under the auspices of the Cooperative Online Serials Cataloging Program (CONSER), the SCCTP provies authoritative training materials and trained serials experts to enable broad-ranging education in the field of serials cataloging.
