About the Event
There are many websites that provide information on individuals and businesses but not all are created equal. This class will help public librarians know where to look for different types of information and how to evaluate a site to determine its accuracy and trustworthiness.
Participants will learn how to use free web-based resources to find:
- Telephone, Address and Other Verification Information
- Professional Licensing
- Real Property
- Criminal and Court
- Web Presence (Facebook, Twitter, etc.)
