Outreach. Great idea, but with limited time and funds, how does a small library deliver services to the ENTIRE community? Creative Outreach on a Shoestring is a workshop designed to help libraries of every size implement outreach programs to fit any scale, locale and community. Who makes up your community and what are their needs? Concentrating on the practical, the workshop will focus on outreach to immigrants, poor people, older adults and new readers and utilizing highly-skilled volunteers. Participants will come away with tools and materials to get started, and strategies for bringing library services to everyone in the community.
This posting includes the slides from the Creative Outreach on a Shoestring presentation and links to resources mentioned during the presentation. Please note that many of the links are on the presentation slides.
