The poster for the Curiosity Cabinets provides an opportunity to be curious about different cultures through foods and explores the various pieces to this installation at the Newport Public Library. The Curiosity Cabinets installation is designed as an interactive work of art. The installation includes two food cabinets with donated food from Food Share of Lincoln County, Mai’s Asian Market, and La Juquilita Mexican Store as well as microgreen kits. Participates can take food and/or microgreen seeds home then provide feedback through pictures, recipes, ideas, videos, and knowledge related to food and culture, which encourages people to want to have a deeper understanding of other cultures as well as their own culture. The project also includes food demonstrations taught by community members from various areas of the globe who provide a cooking demonstration.
