Description
School library programs in Oregon are in crisis! The number of licensed school librarians in the state is less than 20% of what it was several decades ago. Many school libraries have no trained staff and no collection budgets. Book challenges have escalated drastically. The need for information literacy skills has skyrocketed. Despite multiple legislative efforts in recent years to reverse the precipitous decline of school library programs, little progress has been made. School libraries need your support! Join us to learn about actions you can take to help move school library programs forward.
